WCAH Cancellation (3 comments)
Players - After a long search for a suitable venue, unfortunately we have to officially pull the plug on the 2013 WCAH Event Series in Houston. There are a lot of factors at play... but it mainly boils down to money. We had a few promising venues that just didn't work out.

Our relationship with SRO was a good one. The revenues we brought in as a group throughout the year, justified their venue sponsorship for the major events we hosted there. That space was valuable. Now, starting over, we don't have that revenue stream, cash in the bank or sponsor support to be able to cover the cost of a suitable venue with all the basic amenities needed to run a major event for 100+ players and spectators.

I regret that it has taken this long to make an "official" decision, leaving the players on the hook waiting for information. A couple of possibilities came up at the last minute and we owed it to ourselves to see it through the negotiations. Unfortunately, those venues did not work out.

So, instead of scrambling to throw something together... we are going to take some time to build something new. Something bigger and better than what it was before. WCAH is looking forward to more amazing events in the near future. Stay tuned...

Play Puck!

Topic: Dave & Busters as a possible site
Sorry to hear the news. I'm sure it was a tough decision to make. Dave & Busters on Richmond Ave has a nice size party room straight ahead when you come in the front door. Plus they have two or three tables. Just passing this info along in case it helps.

Topic: alamo perhaps...
do they allow events there with electricity ? could we help them market their tourism with something new? what a bang of a site that could be as we stand united against the external forces that continually weigh us down. "you may say i'm a dreamer, but i'm not the only one".
