Topic: frustration growing
I have yet to win one of these things, gotten into three so far. The first one i made it to round three where i faced off against Heather, my girlfriend, where she quickly took a 1-0 lead with a right wall over. I noticed right then and there that i pulled back to what would have been the edge off a regular sized goal. However these goals are maybe only ten or twelve inches wide and i was no longer even in front of it. The second event where the only light on the table was provided by the street lights outside coming in through a frost covered patio window... a random quickly dispatched me. Two events in between where my name was not pulled for the draw so i spent my time handing out flyers and getting the word out. My third entry was this night in question where once again in round three Brian Q takes me out in overtime as we battle to get the game winning point.
Funny story about the boxing game though, after my loss i went over, put in a dollar, and completely whiffed for a score of 048 or something. People laugh and i turn red. that being the only dollar i had on me at the time, i borrow one from Mike and go back and beat the high score on the machine by almost 100 points putting up the 868. All the while all i can think of is that big paper check up on Heather's wall mocking me every time i see it.
