Shooters weeklies are cancelled! (0 comments)
I have unfortunate news to report for Houston Air Hockey.
The new management of Shooters/Fast-Eddies has decided to remove the Air Hockey tables from the establishment. The last rumor I heard mentioned that they would put big screen TV's in that area. I thought we did a good job of showing our worth to them, but in reality, I think this was an uphill battle because it was opposite of the direction the management wanted to go.
Effective immediately all Shooters Weekly Tournaments are Cancelled!
The result of this is that we will have only 1 venue for Weeklies for the near term, and we will be limited to having only "early" weekly tournaments. Weeklies are held at Celebration Station every Tuesday @ 7pm. We will entertain the idea of adding another weekly on Thursday if we see the demand for it. Since CS closes at 10pm we need to stay with the early start time. Sabai Enterprises will be working to find a site to support the later crowd as well and we will let you know if we have progress in this search.
