Attention Players,
I am pleased to announce the Houston Spring Pro-Am League!
For those players who played in the last league, you will be happy to know it will be run in much the same way. We did make a couple of changes based on the feedback we received from players. We at Sabai feel that leagues are one of the most enjoyable ways to play Air Hockey and this is certainly one you will not want to miss!
I(Paxton) will be the league director, so if you have any questions please email me and I will do my best to answer them.
We will begin registration for this event on March 1st, 2003 and match play will start on March 26th, 2003.
I will be posting the full set of league rules for the Pro-Am League on our website prior to registration. Some general things I would like to share now are:
The league will be shorter than the last one. Instead of 12 weeks, we will hold the league over 8 weeks. We will still be using a double-round-robin for anybody that plays the same night. The end of the league tournament will include all players participating in the same league.
We designed the league to be expandable, however we are initially opening up registration for our Celebration Station division, which will be played on Wednesdays and has a 7pm start time.
Entry fees will be lower this season. Only $35 dollars to register.
Instead of the polo-style shirt, we're going with a t-shirt.
We will have online registration, but you must pay in person. Registration will be very easy if you have played in prior events with us. Just email Travis for an account and when registration begins, you can enroll yourself.
Payment can be made by either Cash or Check and can be collected by Brian Accrocco, Jason Rios, Travis Luscombe or myself.
Please keep in mind that slots will only be reserved when payment is received. They are reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis when payment is received.
All divisions will play in the same double-elimination finale to determine the league winner.
Trophies & other goodies will be given away as prizes :)
