Houston Super-Tournament this Friday (0 comments)
This month's SUPER TOURNAMENT is going to be a little different than last month. Instead of making the players pay more to play, we're just going to pay the players more!

Here's the deal...

It's $5 for all players to enter the double-elimination tournament. All new players are FREE. All entry fees are then put into a prize pot for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. If a total of 24 players sign up to play, the promotional team will kick in an extra $25 for 1st place! If we reach the weekly tournament cap of 32 players, we'll will kick in an extra $50 for 1st place!

The SWEEP POT is still in effect during the SUPER TOURNAMENT. Currently there is $20 up for grabs if anyone can make it through a weekly without losing a single game!

So let's break this down. If there are 32 paying players this Friday, and the winner sweeps the tournament, they could walk away with $160 CASH! There is no other place in the world where you can find weekly Air Hockey action like this!

Remember, these tournaments are handicapped... which means they are played using a point-spot system. If you are a beginner and you enter the tournament, you will be spotted anywhere from 0 to 5 points per game depending on the skill level of your opponent. This point-spot system is used across the country to help level the playing field and increase everyone's chances of winning the weekly tournaments!

Please note, the tournament format will vary depending on the total number of participants but it will always be double-elimination. Typically, if there are more than 20 players, the tournament will consist of best of 3-game matches. If there are less than 20 players, it will consist of either best of 5-game or best of 7-game matches depending on the total number of players and the table conditions, all at the discretion of the promotional team.
