After calling over 20 sports bars, 3 dave and busters, and 3 amusement centers, I found 1 locale with a table.
I don't know if tarrant county is representative of metro areas around the country, but if it is then a huge boon to growth of this game would simply be availability of tables in public venues.

Used to be Robbin's raison d'etre. Not sure who has that ball now.

Just an FYI.

Regards

I posted these locations earlier, when the tables went in. There are 2 sanctioned Gold Standard tables at Century Cinemark theaters in Grapevine. The arcade is accessible to non-movie-goers. There is one sanctioned GSG table at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. The arcade at Great Wolf Lodge is open to non-guests, and is open 24 hours a day!

I was at these locations a month or two ago, and all the tables were in good working order.

It's still my raison d'etre. :) Problem is, there are fewer places with tables these days, and many places that have tables (D & B for example), only buy novelty tables like the Quad Air at D & B, where they can charge more money.

Novelty tables that don't play well don't build a player base because they don't suck you into the sport of AH like we were all sucked in. So a lot of potential young players don't even know what real AH feels like, they're used to playing on toy tables.

Players can help the situation by letting game locations know that they are looking for USAA-sanctioned tables that play well and encourage people to play game after game and get into it. All the coin GSG tables are USAA-sanctioned.
