Ole Halloween party just made me play like a monster, taking third.
This week I plan to randomly wreak havoc on any Level 5s or 6s that I get posted against early.
Tell em to keep their car running cause they are going home early.

Brian Accrocco defeats Colin Cummings in the weekly SRO finals, coming throught the loser's side. But he had to play exceptinally powerful to take down Colin who grows better and stronger each week.
Alva Coto takes third!
Playing in his first tournament in about 20 years, Don Bearden won several games before falling to Brian by one point. This great lefthander; used overs and straights with impressive puck control and concentration to perform well.
Also returning to ah was 80's Green Wolverine named Sonny Nguyen who retained his skill and won several maches.
Albert Ortiz also played.
More details to follow!

Actually Alva got fourth. A new player names Sunny Nguyen got 3rd. Alva got her first final 4 appearance.

we will play every friday night, we will play the day after thanksgiving (november 26) as well.
but the last two tourneys (December 24,31) will be play on thursday, if it's ok with SRO.
check back with us if something change

Players,
Man, what a night for Houston Air Hockey! Of the 30 players that played this past Friday the 12th, we had two newbies, a 10-time World Champion, & a top three finisher at the 2010 World Championships.
Congrats to Anthony Marino, who not only captured his second win of the year, but won in the first two appearances he has made to the weekies. That's something I have never seen done in Air Hockey.
Just to remind everyone, we will play the day after Thanksgiving (Nov 26).

Just because this is thanksgiving week doesn't mean we are taking the day off, we will have a Friday night air hockey weekly.
Not bad last week with 25 players including the return of Danny Hynes but also old friend from the Shooters day in Mr. Keith Ford.
Congrats to Syed Rahman who not only capture his first win, but becomes the 20 member into the TOC. with 6 weeklies left, will we have another 1st time winner.

Well the countdown is on, and i'm not talking about how many days till Christmas. i'm talking about how you have 5 weeks left till the end of the year if you want to win a weekly, and to be in the TOC.
Not bad for a day after thanksgiving weekly with 23 players in attendance, congrats to Doug Taylor who won his second weekly of the year.
Just to let everyone know that next week weekly will be play on Thursday Dec 9th due to a party on the 10th, we wanted to play on the 11th but SRO will have the UFC ppv that night.

Well for the first time in 8 years, we are gonna play this week weekly on a Thursday night. the reason being is that SRO is having a party on our Friday spot, & Saturdays was out cause of them holding the UFC ppv.
Congrats to Danny Hynes who not only capture his 8th win of the year, but is now the ALLTIME leader at SRO with 15 wins.
With 4 tourneys left, we are sitting at 20 players that qualify for the TOC. so if you want to be in the TOC, you better play now or it's gonna be too late.

Because of Christmas Eve being on a Friday, we gonna have a holiday weekly tonight (Dec 23rd).

Brian had said via text he will be out there early so that he can watch the Steelers Vs. Panthers game tonight. so if you want some early practice, feel free to join him.

Well this is the final weekly of 2010, and what a year it has been.
Congrats to Cliff Taylor on winning last weeks weekly, and becoming the 21st player in the TOC. after tonight we will officially announce the date, time, and names for the 2010 TOC.
Well it been a great year for the Houston weeklies; we have a battle that will continue into 2011 on which player will have the most wins all time between Danny & Brian, turnout in the 20's and 30's, newbies attendance is up, some returning players we had not seen in a while, and not once but twice that the record for the most players that played in a weekly has been broken.
I want to thank Brian for allowing me to run the weeklies, Phil for his great knowledge, Travis for allowing us to use his program to run the weeklies, Kieth for being a great help and for us to used his laptop when need, also to Syed, Danny, August, & Mike Cummings for there help in order to keep the weeklies moving while we where playing, but more importantly i want to say a big THANK YOU to the great Houston AirHockey player base for coming out and keeping our weeklies going.
Well the countdown is on, lets have a great turnout tonight, lets say goodbye to a great 2010, and welcome in to a better 2011. we will start @ 8pm tonight to keep things moving, but if you cant join us we hope you have a wonderful and safe HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year Players
Well we say goodbye to 2010, and say hello to 2011. will this year bring in more excitement then last year, we shall see.
We ended 2010 with our 22nd member into the Tournament of Champions, Congrats to Donovan Brown who accomplish this feat.
Not only we gonna have our weekly tonight, but also we will have the viewing of the challenge match between Brian Accrocco Vs. Davis Huynh for the U.S.A.A. #1 ranking in the world. We wish both players the best of luck tonight, as all of AirHockey will be watching.
Since this is a the first Friday of the month esp the first Friday of the new year, tonight weekly will be RANDOM draw. so be prepare for big match ups early in the round.
the viewing of the challenge match will be at 7pm, our weekly will start at 8:00pm. hope to see you there

Wow what a way to start the first weekly of the new year with 29 players, While we have some that came for the challenge match, it was a big turnout nothing less.
Congrats go out to Keith Garcia (yes i said Keith Garcia), who finally won his first weekly ever at SRO. We are all proud of him to accomplish this feat.

Wow what great weekend this gonna be for AirHockey, and it's starts with the weeklies tonight (Jan 21st).
20 players where fighting it out last week trying to see who gonna get there first win in 2011, but that honor goes to one of your youngest players who capture his first win ever at SRO.
Congrats to Anthony Munez who accomplish this feat, And for his effort we are promoting him to level 1 status.

Wow what a month it has been for AirHockey in Houston, But we are not finish yet. Not only we have our weeklies tonight (Jan 28th), We also have the Tournament of Champions Saturday on (Jan 29th).
Speaking of the TOC, We want to wish all the players that qualify the best of luck this Saturday.
Wow for the third straight week, we have another player that won his first tournament ever at SRO. Congratulations to Avery Yebernesky, Who went though 19 players to accomplish this feat. Because of his win, Avery will be promoted to Level 1 status.
We also would like to let everyone know that because of his challenge match win over me, Chris Gibson will be promoted to Level 3 status.

Another good turnout of 20 players that came to play airhockey, and with the rumor of a tourney in June. this will be the perfect time to come get the rust out, and play some puck.

We have a great turnout last week with 27 players, I guess most of them answer Brian's question "why haven't you play yet".
Congrats to Donovan Brown on getting his first win of the year.
We want to let everyone know that for the next 6 weeks, The start time for the weekly will start at 8:30pm. After the 6 weeks are up we should be back to normal time of 8:15pm.
