I'll be flying in on the 11th staying with family. If someone can give me a lift from the Train station on the 12th in Naperville to the venue it would be much appreciated. Or if you think that is not enough time to get to the event if I can get a ride from Lincoln Park that would be rad. Please PM me if you can help out I will provide touring horror stories from the last time I was playing a tour through Chicago and gas monies.

Craig, where did you come from?! Are you still in Pasadena? I run the mecca of air hockey on the west coast (no offense to norcal/SF, they are better players, we're just more active) here in Oceanside, CA. You'll have to come down sometime. We play every Friday and usually Saturdays. I come up to L.A. quite a bit too.

No lift offers yet, worst case I can rent a car or get a cab from the station to the venue. If you're offering a ride though that would be great!

Tomorrow, 5/12/12, is the IL State! We're STARTING AT 11:30AM. Get there between 10:30AM-11:30AM (ahem, Mark Robbins) to sign up.
The new Gold Standard Games table arrived at the tournament site yesterday. This event will be the first time that the table has been used in tournament play.

My top 10 predictions. Excluding me and all tentatives:
1) Brian Quezada - I predict that no one will take more than 2 games off of Q. Too much practice. Too hungry. Too good.
2) Goran Mitic - Of all the players, Goran will give Q the best run and will fend off the Texas "invasion".
3) Pete Lippincott - Very interested to see how Pete will fair. I think Dan would be able to beat Pete, but according to my bracket, I don't see them playing. I think Pete's unorthodox style could give Mark problems.
4) Mark Robbins - Played with Mark a few weeks ago. He's playing better than a year ago.
5) Dan Meyer - Bad draw for Dan and not much practice leading into the tourney. I could see Dan finishing higher if he starts to click. If he can get by Mark, who has given Dan troubles in the past, then Dan will be battling it out with Goran and Q at the end of the tourney.
6) Jonathan Kittner - Has had his own table over the last year. Much better.
7) Eric Rood - Solid finish for Eric.
8) Sean Fried - Kind of a wild card. Haven't seen him out in a while. If he's close to his old level, I have him at 8th.
9) Dave Cantor - Experience of the Worlds will help him win the 9-12
10) Andrew Kirby - Andrew made his first tourney a year ago. Good reflexes and desire.

Dark horse Pete Lippincott takes number 3? Now that is news. He is making a name for himself in the last 6 months. Goran beat Pete earlier, and then Pete punched out Mark 4 to 0, and then what happened against Goran and Q?

In the second match of Goran vs. Pete, Pete won 4-1.
Then Q defeated Pete 4-1.
I defeated Q 4-1 in the finals.
