Yup. The last Vegas stream was award winning. The "John Mitchell Match Cam" was unlike anything anyone has ever witnessed before in our arena. The commentary was out of this world too. Nizzi devoted hours to making an ass of the sport with his endless impersonation attempts. To think that people outside our circle might have actually seen that is... nauseating. The live on-screen scoring was great... errr oh wait... there was none.

Revolutionary.

Hey, isn't enough enough? It's clear how you feel about all things Vegas, Andrew - maybe it's time to lay off and just concentrate on your event now instead of constantly spewing sarcasm and trash-talking your "rival promoter's" events. It just makes you look petty and juvenile.

Take this debate elsewhere, it doesn't belong in this thread.

I was simply responding to JSB's backhanded dig at Donovan's efforts. Moving on...

Im at my home in Caracas finally. I really want thanks Phil Arnold for his hospitality while i was in Houston, helping me a lot. Also, a big thanks for all players who went to SRO saturday night; i really aprecciated met you all there and was a good thing that i missed my trip and was able to be there.

I also feel honored to have met the great Joe Campbell and with the CHAMP, in capital letters, Jesse Douty. In 1998, in my very first national, Joe Campbell told me many times during the tournament that i was the best player and that i could win that year: he missed for just one position, and took me 15 years make his prediction accurate. Jesse Douty was the first american player who ever beated me, and he did it in the hardest way: i were up 3-0 and he came back and won (1998 Texas State).

Surely, last one was one of the most exciting weeks of my life. Now i need rest and prepare the next chapter of the Air Hockey history: it is called "Eagle defeats d'artagnan and the three musketeers"

Details will come soon

Congratulations once more, Pedro.

Hoping you can again make it back over to the states for some matches. I'd like to see a rematch for number 1, in Billy versus Rambo, Part II. ;)

Odd comparison to me Mr. Otero.

By the way, that "movie" was first an epic poem called the Illiad - written just a few years ago by some guy named Homer - and not Homer Simpson! Doh!

Achilles was a prideful, arrogant, self-centered executioner. He did not care about the rules of battle and is arguably not heroic. He dragged the dead body of Hector around behind his Chariot in a blind rage for days, and only stopped when he was bribed with a large sum of money. He fought only for personal glorification and was probably less noble than a mercenary.

Hector, on the other hand, fought for his family and his people, most noble in action. He fought for a decade and he faced Achilles even though Achilles was a God. Even when he knew the end was near, and the Gods had turned against him, he stood outside the gates and faced Achilles - vastly outarmed.

The main question I have about the match tonight is - Will Hector discover Achilles' heel? You see, that's the one weakness Achilles is absolutely incapable of overcoming. All the bravado and self-glorification can not cover up the fatal flaw - the Achilles Heel. What will that flaw be?

Left wall over? Right wall under? Cut straight? Cross?

We will see...

Tim

We will find out tonight!

rival ? ... interesting perspective there people. that attitude is the root of most of this nonsense. working together might be a little more effective. just sayin'

huh!!! ? i have nothing but immense respect for donovan and his insanely great achievements. i have known him longer than anyone in houston and never said anything but positive things to him about houston players. i was so happy he joined the scene after the 2007 tennis channel open ... you have no idea what you are talking about.

i have no clue why you turn everything into something negative and competitive. i truly do not. no need to respond ...
