How is the skill value calculated? When I saw Danny's skill level I got confused. Actually what is the formula for the weekly tournament standings? Must admit the weekly tournament standings has motivated me. When I saw I was in the top 3 I could not wait to play.

I swear I had a page that explained the weekly standings -- I may have to make another one because I can't find it right now.
You get a certain number of points for where you place in the weekly, based on your finish and the number of participants. You also get bonus points for each weekly you play in based on your handicap level. This helps to balance out the fact that the higher-level players have to spot points against the lower-level players. If I remember correctly (off the top of my head):
Level 0 = 0 pts Level 1 = 2 pts Level 2 = 4 pts Level 3 = 8 pts Level 4 = 15 pts Level 5 = 20 pts Level 6 = 25 pts

Back in the days of playing at Shooters and before, the "bonus points" allocation was done per year rather than per tournament. So, a master could come in at the end of the year having never played a weekly and be granted 1,000 points for the handicap level. I made the suggestion to give the points out per weekly -- this way, the points would get spread out throughout the year, and it would give players more incentive to participate more, since they only get the bonus points when they show up.
