Congrats to Mike for defending his World Ranking in a match today in Houston at SRO against Frank Perez, 4 sets to 0; 16 games to 4. Perez returns to ah after a 20 year absence, but shows that a veteran can keep his energy and health, especially riding bikes 40 miles weekly! Mike's control game allowed him to slow down Frank's volley game, and get the big win. Mike has really improved over the past six months through weekly tournies and a home table. Frank said, win or lose, this match would help him get back into the sport, and he looks forward to an October match with Vic Green.
