Congratulations to Chris for defending his World Ranking of Number 49 against a competitive Chicago John Song who was fighting to get on the World Ranking ladder. The six to six games were 7 to 2 in favor of the experienced Chris G.
It is hard to go into your opponent's hometown and play in his home on his home table. Respects to Song for this valiant attempt.

| Why are players traveling to play matches against people ranked lower then them? They're trying to bring home rating points. Donovan just took 60 from Colorado, lets see of Illinois can take from Texas. The ratings favor Chris Green 4-1.

John, congratulations for this big win. I played you some games after the tournament in Houston Sunday night, and I saw that you are a force to be reckoned with! You bested me two out of three games.
Chris Green really wanted to take your number 38 World Ranking, but you proved face to face that you deserve to be ranked ahead of him. And you did it in his home town. Wish you would drive a bit father south, and let me have another crack at you:)

I saw the scores from last year and compared them with this year's. What a turnaround John!!! Keep it up!!! Your intensity is awesome and you are practicing with some good players. Can't wait to see how much more u will improve by the time we see you next!!!
