Robbins and Stucky brought their 72+ years of AH experience to the Table in yet another match in this series that dates back to the 70's. Played at Broomfield Rec Center, July 5.
Stucky 56375 Robbins 77767
Stucky 61674 Robbins 77757
Stucky 45671 Robbins 77767
Robbins wins 3 sets to 1; 12 games to 3; 101 points to 73.
Comments: I came into this match with some fear because Stucky has been playing even with me or slightly ahead the past months in practice or weeklies. I felt I was playing very good AH tonight, both on defense and offense. My overs were accurate, which they hadn't been lately, as well as unders and straights. While I was playing at a high level, I felt like Stucky was flat, not playing as well as he has at times over the past year. His defense had more holes and I was able to suck him out and bank under... and I felt like offensively he was playing at my pace, without a lot to fool me.
Funny thing was: in all 3 sets, once Stucky was down 3-0 he got really determined and powerful and took a game. But then he couldn't keep up the intensity and I took the opportunity to close out each set and not let him get on a roll, because when he does, you're in trouble!
BTW Broomfield Rec has really nice fast Pro-Style tables. We played with a red Lexan.

CORRECTION: My point total in the match was 101, not 103.
