Friday night in Houston the SRO weekly enjoyed the visit of original ah player Frank Perez. He started playing about 1974 and enjoyed about a ten year career with us. Moving led to loss of contact. But in the 90's he started looking for ah action, but never found our group until he saw an ad in the Houston Press about the Zwack World Tournament and the SRO location. He said it got so bad without ah that he found himself paying kids $5 to play him a game!!!
What a shock to us when he strode in to SRO! I rushed over to greet him, Robert Hernandez was called and he came over to see Frank. We texted Albert Ortiz who made a special trip to see his former teacher. You see, it was Frank Perez who first started the razzle-dazzle and who inspired Albert to become Mr. Razzle-Dazzle.
Frank grabbed a mallet and he and Albert played a game with a crowd gathering around to watch the razzling and dazzling. Albert showed his stuff; and to our amazement Frank mirrored back his own. You could see how the traditon of Razz-Dazz had come down from Frank and passed to Albert through Frank's hands.
Frank has returned and is eager to get a hard flat top (grey pinger?) mallet and get back into competition.

It was really a special night! I can't even describe how great it was to see Albert and Frank play each other... to see the evolution of the Razzle Dazzle!!

I agree with Andrew, it was great to watch. I even got to play a game and it was a lot of fun to play against him.
