Thanks to Brian for accepting the match on short notice, and for being a gracious host.
I got to see more clearly what Brian improved over the last 6 months. It was hard for me to tell in one set at the CA State. His cross is a full level better; it's more crisp and accurate. He's retooled his LWU by adding an early/tricky release. He's also doing a good job at moving the puck around with short/choppy drifts. I felt focused throughout the match, which was a weakness at the CA State earlier this year.
After the match, I played Colin a game in which he hit one of the best crosses that I've ever seen. And that's saying something.
I'm looking forward to Denver. Only 3 weeks.
