Wow! Colin's up 3-1 on Brian. Amazing considering that Danny destroyed Colin just a couple weeks ago. Too bad it's not streaming :/

Much like the first time Danny beat Jesse or Billy beating Tim etc., this was a match between the teacher and the student and the student stepped up his game to match and win. Brian had the first set but Colin came back and stole it. The first two games Brian was way ahead and Colin hung in there and pulled them out. The 3rd set was the most exciting and even though Brian won that battle, he was totally exhausted by that point and Colin was ready for more. This will only make Brian stronger as he plays Paulo on Sunday. Colin now has officially defended his number 10 ranking. He is playing Paulo on Monday and then is open to play Jacob and Justin Flores (the next 2 that challenged him) in the coming month or 2. Plenty of air hockey to go along with the air hockey league which is running strong.

Oh yeah. I won my match against Paulo today also. It was a match where my strength on offense matched up with his weakness on defense. It was a fun match and I thank Paulo for playing. He has had success here in the past few months, but today was my day. Losing 15 pounds so far and getting in better shape has definitely helped me. My rank is now 13 and the highest I've ever been.

Colin,
Incredible win against one of the toughest players in AH. You should be proud (but not cocky). Brian is a perennial top 10 player and just below the Master Elite.
On the other hand, Brian just turned 40 so maybe he's getting old and over-the-hill. I'm not turning 40 anytime soon (or ever again for that matter) so when we meet up on the Table, you better bring your "A" game.

Thanks Mark. Colin doesn't get on the Forum, which is probably a good thing. He does have some great role models around him that he enjoys learning from. He loves and respects the sport and its history. Hes learning to control his emotion very well. When he plays he puts on his Ehab face, ss he calls it, to not tip off the opponent. He does have some specific goals in mind and is working to achieve those goals! He will bring his A game.

Colin played an incredible match. It is a difficult thing having to deal with the emotions of disappointment in oneself and immense pride in another. Colin was strong from the get-go. He out played me in most critical points. His defense quickly adjusted to my attach and managed every adjustment I tried to make. He systematically attacked me with speed and precision. His puck control was outstanding as was his transitional game. It took everything I had just to get the one set. The final 2 sets were complete domination on his part. He maintained poise and focus to a degree that most adults would admire. I am very proud of what Colin achieved. He played better and deserved to win. He is a legitimate candidate to win it all. Colin has arrived.

He is 14. He and his buddies, Steven and Ben plan on starting an AH club at their high school. They are incoming freshmen.
