SCHEDULING
Scheduling Format: The league will run with an open scheduling policy. There are no set dates or times. Players are responsible to contact their weekly opponents and determine and agreed-upon location and time to play.
Home Player: One player will be designated as the "Home" player. It is the responsibility of the "Home" player to contact his/her opponent although all players are encouraged to be proactive and contact opponents regardless of whether they are home or away.
Grace Period: All Home players must contact the visiting player at least 3 days before the desired scheduling time. No visiting player is required to accept a match time within 3 days of the initial contact.
Minimum Time Slots: All players must submit a minimum of 5 time slots per week to the opposing player, each time slot being a minimum of 1 hour in length. If a player offers less than 5 time slots for the week and the opposing player cannot play during the times offered, then the player not meeting the minimum must forfeit the match. If both players offer the minimum time slots and cannot agree upon a common time to play, then they may petition the WCAH Directors Council for a postponement or for a resolution. If no action is taken, both players will automatically forfeit the match.
Reporting Match Time: Because there are limited locations and tables, reservations for some locations will be managed by the HAC DC. The "Home" player will also be required to report the agreed-upon match time no later than 24 hours prior to the match to the WCAH DC. If more than one match is requested for the same location and table, the first one reported will have priority and any subsequent matches will need to be rescheduled. All other "home" tables may be scheduled at the discretion of the table owner. Match Deadline All assigned matches should be played no later than midnight on Sunday, one week after the end of the official match week. Players may agree to postpone the match and play later but must report this to the WCAH Directors Council.
Playing Forward: Players may play additional matches from future scheduled weeks at will.
Final Deadline: All regular season matches must be completed by Saturday, August 17 at 11:59 pm. Any matches not completed will be scored as a double forfeit unless it is shown that one player was at fault for the incomplete match, and that player will be forfeited.

OFFICIATING
Voluntary Officiating: Officiating is strictly voluntary. The home player is responsible for acquiring a referee if one is needed
Authority of Referee: Referees will have the authority to issue conduct warnings to either or both players during the match.
Duty of Referee: It is the duty of the referee to officiate the match in a fair and impartial manner. If a player feels that the referee was not fair and impartial, then he/she may submit a grievance to the WCAH Directors Council for review.
MATCH REPORTING
Reporting Match Outcome: It is the responsibility of the winning Player to report the outcome of the match to the WCAH Directors Council. All matches must be reported within 48 hours of completion. Reporting matches to the web page will be considered the equivalent of reporting them to the WCAH Director's Council.
Standings Calculation: The regular season standings will be based on the following hierarchy: Total # of matches won, Total # of games won, Total Points Scored.

PLAYOFFS
Playoff Qualification: The top 16 players based on final standings upon completion of the league will qualify for the playoffs. If there is still a tie at the end of the season, the two players in the tie will play a best 2 games of 3 tie breaker match.
Playoff Format: The playoffs will be a single elimination tournament with all matches in the first 2 rounds being the best 2 sets of 3 and the semi-finals and finals being the best 3 sets of 5. All sets will be the best 4 games of 7.
Playoff Seeding: The playoffs will be seeded using the standard numerical balance approach where all matches in a round will have the same total when the two seeds are added together (1 plays 16, 2 plays 15 ... 8 plays 9 - all equal 17).
Playoff Scheduling: The Playoffs will be held on August 24-25. The location will be announced later. The first 2 rounds will be held on Saturday, August 24 and the semi finals and finals on Sunday, August 25th. The specific times will be set at a later date. Both Semi-final matches will be started at the same time to ensure fairness in rest time for both winners for the championship match.
3rd/4th Place Playoff: 3rd/4th place will be determined by a single set match played by the two players defeated in the semi-finals.
