Um, can we get some context to this result?
Did Dan have a pulse? Was he drugged before the set?
If not, I can guarantee he was drugged AFTER!
In a hundred years I would never have predicted a result where Dan only scores 6 points TOTAL in the set. Hmmm, after my inaccurate Pedro v Billy prediction, and this...maybe I should just stand back and watch AH from now on :)

I didn't go to UIC for this one but I did go last Saturday where Billy had a couple of games where he dominated on both sides of the puck. Although... Dan still averaged 4.3pts/game over 15 games so 6 pts over 4 is about half of what I would have expected knowing both players even when Billy wins 4-0 convincingly. I have only been out a couple of times since his match with Pedro but last Saturday was the the most I've seen Billy look more like he did at nationals since the Houston City. (moving the puck around a lot on offense, crisp/deceptive shots, a "kitchen sink" approach to his offense occasionally, good chases, few unforced errors, etc.) My guess is that whatever was ailing him last month is finally starting to clear up.

It was weird.. for sure.
We played 5 (3 of 5) practice sets before this rated set... and it was very, very close.. and I actually came out ahead if I recall taking 3 of them (with a lot of 7-6 games). Billy was not playing great - as he scored on himself and had more unforced turnovers than I've ever seen out of him.
...and then - Billy just decided to kick it up a notch, and all the shots I was scoring with - he just read like he was freakin' clairvoyant. Not just read/block.. but make turnovers. By the last game - I was losing my head trying to figure out what was going on. I thought my shots weren't any less accurate. My defense, which was playing great in the practice sets, for some reason, was getting shredded.
When I asked him wtf he did... he just said that he put forth all of his effort/upped his intensity.
He's been sick for weeks... and now it seems like the cloud has lifted.
