CHECK-IN POLICY
INITIAL CHECK IN If you are attending one or more of the events, you are required to check in in person. This formal process confirms your presence to us, allows up to deliver to you a packet of information and your tournament T-shirt, and have you sign a waiver of liability as required to participate.
Check in will always occur on site at SRO. We will begin initial check in on Wednesday at noon during the setup process. My wife Diane will be available to check you in until 7 pm. We will resume check in at 3 pm on Thursday, prior to Opening Ceremonies and the GoalGrinder 500. Check in will occur throughout the weekend as needed, although we expect all but youth only participants to be completed by Saturday at 9 am!
INDIVIDUAL EVENT CHECK IN Because we are trying to minimize forfeits which skew the tournament outcome and reduce paying experience for those who play the forfeited player, we require that you check in 30 minutes prior to the start if an event. The event check in is simply seeing the tournament admins who will simply check you off of the event list as being present. Easy.
In the event that you are arriving after the start of the event, YOU MUST CONTACT US TO VERIFY THAT YOU ARE COMING. We willa accomodate you. Our goal is not to be jerks - kust to manage no shows. If you are coming, we want you to play. Call my phone at 281.795.6376 or text me. In fact I'll list all of our numbers after this so you can text multiple people as a safe guard. Here's my advice. Ne there before the events starts. You'll play better. Trust me.
IF YOU HAVE NOT CHECKED IN FOR AN EVENT BY THE TIME WE ARE READY TO SEED THE CHART AND WE HAVE RECEIVED NO COMMUNICATION FROM YOU OR SOMEBODY WHO CAN VERIFY THAT YOU ARE ATTENDING, WE WILL ASSUME THAT YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING AND NOT INCLUDE YOU ON THE CHART. And once the chart is drawn, it cannot be changed.
So help us stay on top of things. We have 4 different events and over 250 different participants. Its a lot to manage. We need your help to keep it organized. Do your part and make sure we know you are present.

REGISTRATION CUT OFF DATES AND TIMES
GoalGrinder 500 late registration cuts off at 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 26. However, as the event is full, this is a moot point. This is why the check in process above is critical. If you are unaccounted for at 5:30, your spot will be given to the next person on the wait list. If you are playing and running late, make sure we know you are coming.
Power Doubles late registration ends at 4 pm on Friday, July 27.
Open singles late registration cut off is 10 am on Saturday, July 28.
Youth Championships late registration ends at 11:30 am on Sunday, July 29.

WITHDRAW / REFUND POLICY
The last day to withdraw from any event for a full refund is Wednesday, July 25. After this date, withdraw will ential no refund. UNAP will of course take into account emergency circumstances such as a family or job emergency. We are not without compassion, and we understand that bad things sometimes happen at inopportune times.
At the same time, we are striving to be more professional and align ourselves with other professional sports. And in most sports, your commitment to participate is weeks if not months in advance. We are not there yet, but given our circumstances, we feel that this is more than reasonable, expecially when you consider the impact that a last minute withdraw has on the altering of the matchups and affects those who may have prepared for specific opponents based on the original matchups.
So if you are gonna back out, do it by Wed, July 25.

CHECK-IN POLICY ADDENDUM
I woke up this morning and realized that I didn't clarify singles special situation. Open Singles is seeded using a double by chart meaning that the top 32 get a 2 round bye and 33-64 get a one round bye and 65-126 all play in the first round. As a result, the top 32 often do not play their first match until a little later after start time, so many of these players will use the opportunity to sleep in and arrive later. No issues with that. Get your rest. All we are asking is to make sure that if you will be doing that, let Diane know. My wife is serving as the Senior Administrator for this event and is specifically here to coordinate and make sure that we are tracking players whereabouts. WE ABSOLUTELY don't want anybody to be forfeited, so we just ask that you act responsibly and communicate with us if you will not be on site prior to the start of the event.
Thanks,
Brian
