Many of you visit our beloved city of Houston only for Air Hockey once a year or so. It's important to us that your experience here is one to remember.
At the eco-friendly Courtyard Houston Galleria, you are steps away from the 4th largest shopping center in America, the Houston Galleria Mall. As one of the newest Galleria Houston hotel properties, the Courtyard provides affordable, upscale lodging and convenience to a huge variety of dining and entertainment options.
The Marriott Courtyard Galleria is located in the heart of Houston on Westheimer and Sage Road just 10 minutes from the tournament site. We will provide a map to show how you can travel from the The Marriott Courtyard Galleria to SRO Sports Bar & Cafe without the headache of traveling on the Houston freeways.
Enjoy dinner and cocktails in the Courtyard Lounge Monday through Thursday evenings or a hot breakfast each morning!
The daily rate secured for the Air Hockey World Championship group is $89/night or $99/night including a hot breakfast (for up to 4 guests per room) and free daily parking. This rate does not include the applicable state and local taxes. This special discounted rate is available for all nights of the 2012 Air Hockey World Championship Event Series including Thursday July 26, Friday July 27, Saturday July 28.
Keep in mind, this hotel is located in the middle of the world famous Houston Galleria area. There will be traffic on Thursday and Friday. Parking is always an issue in this bustling area. We highly recommend that you secure the $99/night rate including parking on the hotel property if you and/or your roommates have a rental car.
If you do not reserve the discount package rate including breakfast and parking, the daily rate for parking on the hotel property is $15.
Reservations for the Air Hockey World Championship group rate should be made by calling 1-800-321-2211 or online with the unique group link that will be posted shortly. Please mention "Air Hockey World Championship" group to secure the discounted rate.
GROUP RATE CUTOFF DATE - MONDAY JULY 16, 2012
This discounted rate is only valid at the Marriott Courtyard Galleria location. The courtesy group rate is secured until Monday July 16, 2012. All rooms from the block that are not reserved by this date will be released for general sale and you will be on your own to secure a hotel room.

Tomorrow is THursday July 12 and the FINAL day to reserve your room at the Courtyard by Marriott Galleria at the reduced rate. After that, you are on your own! If you are coming, don't wait. Get your room before they are gone!

Please disregard my last post. With all the dates floating around, I got my wires crossed. 
The Hotel deadline is Monday, July 16. So you have a few more days. But Monday will be here soon enough. Get your room booked.
Oh and Chuck Forrest is looking for somnebody to share a room. If you are interested, please respond in this thread. I am unlocking it to allow players to use it to coordinate roommate opportunities.

| Thursday night there is no disount they booked all the disount rooms. There is some for Friday and Saturday. I got Thursday night for 109.

OK. For all of you out of town players - today is July 16. It is the final day for the hotel booking at the reduced rate. If you waited until the last minute, then today is that day. Make your reservation and save some $. Otherwise your stay may be more expensive elsewhere.

I'm looking for a room to crash in Thursday night. I have a room for the rest of my stay. Preferably someone playing or attending the GoalGrinder and planning on staying until its conclusion since I plan on winning it.
