Via Facebook newsfeed I saw a banner for the Houston tournament. Is it definitely the end of July/is that the official announcement? I'll be going to both tourneys...just wanna make sure to get the days off.

I've attended more tournaments and events than any other player in the past 12 years. There was a huge period where the only thing that mattered to me was the competition, so it didn't matter where the tournaments were held. Unfortunately, it does matter now, my activities outside of the competition are important to me. I had fun in Vegas last year, and for the first time in my life, it was a real drag for me to attend the Houston tourney.

I have been AH's number one supporter in terms of attendance, so although introducing new players is vital to the sport, keeping the current player base, the die hards happy, should also be a big consideration. Even though the arrangement and attendance aren't as good as a Houston event, I had way more fun at the Vegas event. I guarantee you there are 40-50 players that also feel the same way, so please don't shoot down the event, for I don't even know what the real reason is. I have no idea why less events and less choices are good for the sport.

Respectfully,

Air Hockey's biggest supporter from 2000-present

I would like to be at both events if my time off can be scheduled in advance.

I have never missed a World/National so I will play in Vegas!

I am over the four month ordeal with severe back pain. And by the date for Vegas, I should be over my tennis elblow which hit me playing raquetball this month. After the Vegas tournament, I will play some matches in June, and enter the Houston tournament with my powers restored.

I feel like a caged tiger just waiting to break out and use fang and claw.

Schedule a later flight home this time so you don't ditch us in the middle of the nightlife, LOL.

Javier Pulido, Dionisio Diaz, Anselmo Diaz and myself are going to play the Houston tournament in late july. Any other venezuelan going this year will also attend to Houston tournament AFAIK Sadly, will be very difficult to us to attend to both tournaments.

For the record, I should be recovered from my elbow surgery in time for the Houston nationals but I'm not really sure about Vegas. That tournament is really cutting it close. Either way I will be in Vegas to support air hockey and to have a good time.

Take care,

Ehab
