With Billy's victories over Ehab and Danny under his belt in challenge matches, Billy's next goal would be winning his second title. Would he be the favorite to win?

Not sure what "Don the Greek" would say here but I'm guessing the odds would still be in Danny's favor to win his 11th Title. First look at Danny. He has experienced crushing challenge match defeats in the past only to win the tournament. Endurance is less of a factor when you are playing one set matches.

Ehab has been successful most of the time against Billy in tournament play and Ehab is a great tournament player as well. Without Danny in the picture, Ehab would have won close to as many tournaments as Danny and would be closing in on the record 11th Titles held by Jesse Douty.

Billy taking out both Danny and Ehab in tournament play would be a milestone. Can he do it? Yes... but odds are, in my opinion, are against him. In my opinion, the odds are high that his will make the finals but will fall short of taking home his second title.

Put me on the Billy Stubbs' bandwaggon. The reason is that he has taken the sport to a new level of athleticism. Let me count the ways: 1. conditioning
2. practice 3. discipline 4. competition. All four factors Billy has integrated into a program that he (and Q) has made a way of life for sevral months.

In the entire history of AH this kind of total committment to living, breathing, and playing ah like a major league sport for several months on end has almost never been done. Jesse Douty, Robert Hernandez, and I did it briefly in the 80's at our peaks resutling in Number One rankings.

If Billy keeps tuned up, he will win the next two nationals. He just defeated number one and number two back to back!

In the spirit of being a world champion, you can count on myself and most certainly Danny to elevate our games to a higher level in response to the tremendous play that Billy has shown over the last few months.

I would definitely not count out the fact that we still have room to become even better players and that will most certainly be the goal once a World Championship is announced. Billy's performance along with the promise that many of these young talented players bring to our sport, is exactly what is needed to keep air hockey thriving for many years to come.

I look forward to the next few months as I start to think about how I can be a better player and bring a more elevated game to the next nationals.

Happy pucking,

Ehab

Our challenge match aside Ehab, I would love to get some practice time in with you.
