Yesterday i challenged Javier Pulido for his USAA rank; i dont find him in the rankings page, he actually have any rank?
Challenge match will be played as soon as we have a free day; after 40 days in venezuela and some practice seasons, skills are coming again and i expect a very interesting play.

| Javier doesn't have a current rank, but you can still play him a challenge match for rating. You can also play others challenge sets for rating just post the scores here. Looking forward to the match!

Congrats to Marcelo, who played a better airhockey than me. Key game was set 6, game 7, were i take a 6-5 advantage and had many pucks to win the challenge, but i was unable to score.
Hopefully revenge will be in less than one week. Actually, my offensive is very advanced, but i need a lot more of practice to improve my defense.

Thanks Pedro. See if you can get other players to play a set or match with each other and post scores. We would love to see how many great air hockey players are in Venezuela.

We actually play a double eliminatory tournament, sets 4 out of 7, every sunday. I will try to keep it updated. Im improving my performance every week one position, last sunday finished 2nd :D
We are actually 7 active players: javier pulido, jairo correa, anselmo diaz, dionisio diaz, marcelo garcia, daniel ordoñez and myself. Pedro Ramirez comes some times, and some new players, but i dont remember their names.

I will try to keep the scores updated.
Due to a intensive rain over Caracas today (the traffic collapsed) the rematch with Marcelo is posposed. Hopefully, next thursday i will be playing a challenge match with Jairo Correa (2009 Russia champion)

No more challenges this week :( but i finally won the weekly today (unbeated); sadly, i forgot collect the results (Daniel O. had it, i will ask him for it)
Like in the old days (1999), i will play 3 challenges matches next week in 3 consecutive days:
Wednesday 16th, Marcelo Garcia. (confirmed)
Thursday 17th, Javier Pulido. (hopefully, as he posted in facebook)
Friday 18th, Jairo Correa. (confirmed)
Hopefully, 3 matches will be taped

Challenge match with Javier Pulido is scheduled and confirmed: tomorrow, december 2th, 14:00 Hrs, CCCT, Play Time. Match will be recorded and uploaded.
Im really excited about it since i want test my skills against an USAA experienced player after many many years (i think Javier finished 13th or something like that in this year nationals) Sadly, he dont hold an USAA rank so i will not return to the rankings even winning.
Any prediction? I think im able to beat him 4-1 (hopefully)

Match was very close, as final results shows. Rematch will be soon.
On last game of second set, i broke my finger trying to block his bank, and in the fifth set the injury become worse, again hitting my finger with the bank. By first time on my life i almost stop the challenge and pospose it for another day, but luckly Anselmo have some first aid equipment and i was able to continue.
Match will be uploaded entirely as soon as i can (this weekend hopefully).
Also i scheduled a challenge match with Daniel Ordoñez (probably the best player in Venezuela) for next week. Left-handed player, will be a very different challenge.

USAA tradition has it that, when a location closes, the match can be continued and finished at another location, or the next day.
There are no ties in AH - the match must be played until the final 7th point!
