Hi everyone..i was wondering if anyone can upload a video or a step by step diagram on how to do a diving drift (if thats the proper way of calling it). its that technique i see a lot of player do in which they move the mallet around the puck while at the same time hitting the puck on the top and bottom sides causing the puck to hit the banks from left to right left to right
here is the only video that shows it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrLtN5QkK8Y i have tried to learn the diving drift by watching the video but im still confused

Practicing diamond drifts is a good way to learn control of the puck. Do it both clockwise and counter clockwise.
Another good bit of practice is to try a chase game. Start at the lower left of your side, take a shot to the opponent's back rail - hit it straight so that it comes back to your side and hits your back rail - hit again, and repeat. It's very hard to do, if you can do this quickly and all on one side - it should help your puck control.
That, of course and playing a lot. Just make sure you gain control of the puck before striking it. Very important.
