|Check out this group of puckers, http://jmahl.blogspot.com .
They seem to be the Los Angeles equivalent of the Boston Air Hockey group. Lots of cool friends hanging out, drinking, playing AH and having fun. The ring leader, Mike Lawson, sent me an email inviting me to come to their annual championships on Memorial Day. I checked the email weeks too late, as he sent it to an email address that I rarely check. I definitely look forward to meeting up with them down the road.
Ok, cat is out of the bag. No gamesmanship this time, I'm booked and ready to rock. Three weeks away, and I've played twice since Nationals. I hope Juggs will be able to make it. I've been working on some new drifts and releases and I'm debating if I should pull them out for this tourney. I might need to, as my game may be getting stale. I believe I've only beaten Wil one set in my career, and I was down 6-3 in the 7th at the 2005 TSO. Problem is, he wasn't even playing all that well, but he still managed to get to that point against me. Since then, he's either clocked me 4-0 or beaten me in tight, competitive sets. I can tell you what I think is going to happen, but honestly, I don't know. Billy always makes me work real hard, his game just puts so much pressure on you to be perfect. I've probably played Billy more official sets in the past 6 years than anyone else. We've gone back and forth a ton - so it will be interesting if he has anything new for me.
