|These years for me were “Just Playing”. I didn’t have a strong plan to improve, I would just practice what I’d been doing for years and hope that was good enough. Being competitive really masked what I should’ve focused on, which was getting better in all of my weaker areas. With no one to turn to for coaching in CA, I was forced to try to piece together the puzzle on my own. Since I wasn’t a huge threat, top players like Owen, Ehab, Jesse, and Danny would throw me little vague nuggets of information, but never completely reveal the full blueprint.
