Top Ten Players of All Time List

NAME ........1ST...2ND.....3RD.....TOTAL....Points
Jesse Douty.....11......5.......3.......19......57
Tim Weissman....10......2.......3.......15......47
Danny Hynes.....8........................8......32
Bob Dubuison....4.......6.......3.......13......31
RobertHernandez.2.......5.......6.......13......24
Mark Robbins....2.......5.......6.......13......24
Jose Mora.......3.......1.......3........7......17
Ehab Shoukry....2.......4.......1........7......17
Wil Upchurch....2.......3................5......14

When you are considering who is the greatest, what criteria do you use? One method would be to look at how various players finished over the course of time and collectively add up their performances. You might say finishing 2nd is twice as hard as finishing 3rd. And perhaps finishing 1st is twice as hard as finishing 2nd. That would make finishing 1st to be four times the value of finishing 3rd. So then I’ve assigned the values of 4, 2, and 1 for finishing 1st throught 3rd, respectively.

The outcome places Jesse Douty at the top of the list with Tim Weissman a distance second. Danny Hynes to follow, just edging out Bob Dubuisson. Next with equally impressive records you have Robert Hernandez and Mark Robbins. Following with Jose Mora who would edge out Ehab Shoukry by virtue of more 1st places. And rounding out the top ten would be the naturally gifted Wil Upchurch.

Will this list stay stagnant? I don't think so. You have four players on the top ten list who are still in their prime and about 33-34 years old with a few great years left. Danny Hynes could conceivably win a few more tournaments but might be running out of time to surpass Jesse or even Tim who accumulated impressive stats of their own. Both Jose and Ehab more than likely will surpass Robert and Mark as long as they continue to play. Wil Upchurch, if he continues to miss tournaments will remain where he is at or perhaps move out of the top ten by hungry talented rising stars.

There you have it, a top ten list of the all time greats.
