What time? At Goran's or UIC?
Should be a good match to watch!

For Chicago-area players, that want to watch the match and play some airhockey, they'll be playing at Goran's house.

I predict that Goran will find a way to win in seven sets.
2 to 4, 2 to 4, 4 to 2, 4 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 1, 4 to 2.

Last Saturday, Brian Quezada (#10) successfully defended his ranking and Master status against Goran Mitic (#12), 4 sets to 1:
http://airhockeyworld.com/match.asp?matchid=25160
In the first two sets, Brian attempted to establish his right-wall-over, although it was not successful in the beginning as both players were both trying to find their rhythm. Goran was committed to stopping Brian's cut from the outset, which left the right-wall-under open for most of Brian's scores.
In sets 3 and 4, both players started to minimize unforced errors and establish consistent attacks, resulting in some pretty exciting air hockey. Brian's right-wall-over began to hit its mark and Goran was scoring with lots of transition points and crosses from right-of-center. As the 3rd and 4th set wore on, Goran was favoring the right-wall-under on defense; this lead to more right-wall-overs and cuts dropping for Brian.
By the final set, Brian's right-wall-over was absolutely rolling. He was shooting it so often that it was almost in bad taste. Once Goran started covering for the right-wall-over, the floodgates opened and Brian drowned Goran in the last set. Brian's primary attack of cuts and right-walls, plus time-delayed crosses and well-disguised left-walls, made for a quick anticlimactic 4-0.
This match cemented Brian as Illinois' #2 player. He holds a lifetime winning record over Goran, has the highest rating and ranking in Illinois, and the highest National finish of any Illinois player, save Mark Robbins and myself.
I look for Brian to go in to Texas this December and be extremely competitive in every match that he plays - regardless of the opponent.

Congrats to Q. He's for real.
As for Billy's comment that shooting the right-wall-over and over again was "almost" in bad taste -
Isn't it a foundation of the Stubbs AH philosophy that it's NEVER in bad taste to shoot the same shot over and over and over again - if it's working? :)

Yea, I was wondering about that remark also. :) I shot so many left wall overs against Brian A., I guess it was in bad taste too. :)

Just as it's almost in bad taste to cheer after a slop shot drops ;)
Q, awesome accomplishment! It seems you have proven yourself. I can't wait to see some of your matches down here!
