This afternoon at SRO, Jacob Weissman and Anthony Munez played a challenge match that featured some nice air hockey at times by both players. Jacob played the first 4 sets with a lot of confidence and was mixing up a cut, RWU, LWU and Overs combinations very effectively. Anthony was totally frustrated and it looked like the match was over. Then the tide turned and Anthony relaxed and took control of the match running off 12 straight games for the victory. Although Anthony is known for his flashy offense he finally listened to his cousin Frank Perez and played a strong shut down defense and controlled the puck. Congratulations Anthony, you are still ranked number 51 in USAA rankings! I'm not sure the change in ratings, but Anthony will be rewarded as his rating was around 1250 and once it is updated it should push him up into the 1300s.

Congrats Anthony for this world ranking defense. Jacob will be back! Sorry, I could not make it, but my back went out that morning and have been confined for five days now.

But where are the set results and scores?

Phil
