Good morning all,

New to this forum. Have a general rules question I'm unable to find in the official rule. Hope someone can help. We're all novices here at my office, but love to play. We've beat our table up pretty good through use and the automatic scoring device isn't functional. How is it scored if player A hits the puck and in route to the goal the buzzer goes off? Is it a goal, or no goal because the puck hasn't yet enterd the goal? Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to the forums. There is no time limit in air hockey. First to 7 points wins the game. If the table shuts off while the puck is in motion to the goal, the goal counts. If you have a group of players, you should start posting your game and set scores or even hold local tournaments to get rated. You can post scores here with players full name and I can enter them for you.

Goran is correct. The shot was taken before the table cut off, so the shot was in progression and the score would count.

By the way, what part of the world are you located in?

Thanks,
